oh how Mya will miss school!

We've been so lucky that Mya loves school and her teachers so much! They are wonderful ladies: in the purple we have Miss Tammy who has had Mya since she was four months old, the younger lady is Miss Nakita and is Mya's main toddler teacher, the lady in grey is Miss Natalya who has also had Mya since she was four months old and has been teaching her Russian along the way, and finally the lady in yellow is Miss Gail who is devastated that she won't get to have Mya in her preschool class - incidentally she is the one who broke down and cried with me on Mya's very first day.

ear tubes

Mya had surgery to put ear tubes in on Saturday, it went great and she seems to be feeling better than ever. We're very glad we got it taken care of after seeing how much better she seems to feel, though cotton balls and vaseline at bath time to keep water out of her ears is quite an adjustment. Mya may be one of those people who has a phobia about cotton balls before this is all over with!

This one was a dairy farm, needless to say Mya loved it!

farm 2 continued

Ran out of room for photos - man it was great having a camera to use for the weekend!

festival of family farms - farm 2

This one was a vegetable farm owned by a very nice man named Farmer Dave that I sort of know through work. Here they had pony rides, hay rides, vegetable and flower gardens, and pigs. Mya loved the ponies but would NOT ride them! She also loved the pigs and didn't want to leave them.

festival of family farms - farm 1

On Saturday we toured an alpaca farm or as Mya calls them 'pacas'. She really really likes pacas! We got to see a baby get a bottle feeding and a shearing demonstration and we even got to pet the baby.

the big news!

Yesterday we finally got the news we've been waiting months for - Traven got the job in Florida. We will move in about a month, we don't really know any details or have a plan yet, but it'll come together somehow.

In the meantime here is a shot of Mya eating oatmeal at the table like a big girl!
